I'm still baking :)

Just a little picture to let you know I"m still here :) I made this cake for my nieces birthday last month. It was a very fun cake to make and delicious as well! It was gluten free, dairy free, and low sugar. Made out of black beans and it was so GOOD! Enjoy :)

You only think I havent been working....!

It's been soooo busy!! I can't even begin to upload all the cakes that have been made in the past few months. Weddings, birthdays, graduations, baby showers, Mothers day. You name it it's there! I could attempt describing every cake here... But I have a feeling you'd rather just see the pictures. Take a peak and let me know what you think!!

The Cinderella Happening

"Cinderella"

The princess of all princesses was placed in my hands this weekend... Fun? Exciting? Challenging? New? Different? Terrifying? Let's just say it was incredibly interesting. And a HUGE undertaking. Knowing that this cake was to be made for a sweet 3 year old girl just put the "perfect" amount of pressure on me to make it perfect. However being as critical as I am the cake did not turn out like I had hoped. Oh well, I show ALL my work no matter how it turns out. Hopefully I will get another chance at Cinderella someday, and maybe her face wont be so creepy... Forgive me for any nightmares happening because of Mrs. Creepy Eyes. And yes... she was made of cupcakes as well! Yikes...

Apparently Cupcakes are FOREVER~!

One must be creative when getting tons of cupcake cake orders! So if you've ever got an idea let me know. For now we've got the usual dumptruck, choo choo train, race care, flower, or some form of star burst... Yay for cupcakes!!!!!

I wasn't kidding, cakes really are my life.

My favorite cakes no question are the ones that I get to make for the one's I love. Even though it's not the most extravegant or perfect cake it's exactly what she wanted. Lots of "drippy" chocolate the Birthday Girl would say. A simple chocolate cake covered in ganache that was just plain ol' fun. Nothings better then having fun with cake and watching someone truly enjoy it. Happy Birthday Nanner, I hope you always love your birthday cakes (including this one)~!

Let's get off to a flamin' start!

I deemed him Sigfreid only because any good dragon has to have a name! What else can I say, it was awesome... The cake is red velvet iced with buttercream and Sigfreid is made from pound cake and covered in fondant. His green skin and blue wings were frosted over with buttercream. Bring it on people, I do love cakes with character!!!

Yay for Cake!! I'm not lazy just busy, I promise!!

I love making cakes that pop out of my mind and right on to the board!! If only it were that easy! Luckily I don't mind the work, these 2 cakes (above and left) were for Heritage Christian Fellowship's 4th annual pinewood derby. Thought it'd be nice for the kids to have something sweet after all their hard work building and racing cars. And these cakes suited this event perfectly!
